The City maintains a full value assessment program through the
services of Accurate Appraisal LLC. Physical inspections
have been shifted to a 6-year cycle with the next cycle of
physical inspections beginning in 2013. New construction
and permitted improvements continue to be inspected annually.
Properties are
assessed using a market value analysis with necessary adjustments
made to keep the assessed values at 100%. Property owners are
notified prior to physical inspections being conducted and also when changes are made
to
their assessed value.
If you receive personal property assessments and are no longer
in business, please notify the City Clerk or the City Assessor. If
you have not notified the City prior to receiving your Tax Bill in
December, you are responsible for that bill.
