  3. Drop box outside City Hall at 9 S Broad St.
  4. Credit Card - For a nominal fee, you can pay by credit card by going on line at http://www.officialpayments.com or call (800) 272-9829 (Jurisdiction Code #5869).
  5. On-line Bill Pay-Check with your financial institution for details.

To assist in processing your payment, please include the tax key number(s) on all checks and endorse escrow checks made out to both the City and yourself. As noted on your tax bill, checks should be made payable to:

  • Elkhorn City Treasurer if paid by January 31, 2012
  • Walworth County Treasurer if paid after January 31, 2012

We will credit payments, unless otherwise noted, to 2011 if post-marked by Dec. 31, 2011, or if received in our office or drop box on or before Jan. 3, 2012. The City does not accept post-dated checks. It will be returned if staff notices it, otherwise it will be processed the day it is received.

If you would like a receipt mailed, please enclose a self-addressed stamped business size envelope with your payment.

Please Note: Payments for your utility bill and/or dog/cat licenses can not be included in your property tax payment.
