Selection Process
The Elkhorn Area Fire Department maintains an eligibility list
from which members are selected.
- If interested in applying for a position an application is
available at the Fire Station or click here for an
Elkhorn Area Fire and Rescue Department Application for
Membership.
- The Fire Chief and other department officers will review
applications and conduct a background check. Applicants will be
notified for an interview with the Elkhorn Police and Fire
Commission.
- The successful candidate will serve a two-year probationary
period.
