Handling Citations
If you have received a citation from a City of Elkhorn Police
Officer, please follow these directions:
- If the violation is indicated as a mandatory appearance,
then you must appear at the City of Elkhorn City Hall on the
date and time indicated on the citation.
- If the violation is not a mandatory appearance, then you may
either pay the citation before the court date or you can still
appear on the date and time on the citation to contest the
violation.
- You may pay your fine at the Municipal Court office at City
Hall or at the Police Department. Cash, money order and credit
cards are accepted. No personal checks accepted.

same day and pre-trials/trials are on a separate day at 12:00pm.
The City Attorney will only be at the pretrial/trial date. Watch
time of court carefully.
