Handling Citations

If you have received a citation from a City of Elkhorn Police Officer, please follow these directions:

• If the violation is indicated as a mandatory appearance, then you must appear at the Government Center, Room #214 l on the date and time indicated on the citation.
• If the violation is not a mandatory appearance, then you may either pay the citation before the court date or you can still appear on the date and time on the citation to contest the violation.
• You may pay your fine at the Municipal Court office or at the Police Department. Cash, money order and credit cards are accepted. No personal checks accepted.
