The Water Utility Department operates within the Department of
Public Works. Presently, the Department is responsible for the
maintenance of two water plants, mains/services, four wells and
three towers.
The Department staff consists of one Water Plant Operator and
four Utility Service Persons.

 Replacement
of the Centralia Street Water Treatment Plant Facility is the only
water utility improvement in the 2010 schedule.
This project, which will include the construction of two (2) new
wells and a new treatment plant, is to be completed in stages over a
period of 3 to 5 years. Only design engineering and land
acquisitions are budgeted for in 2010.
