E. Market Street Construction

The project consists of approximately 5,000 feet of new roadway, extending Market Street from E. Geneva Street to E. Court Street. The construction will also include curb and gutter, an adjacent pedestrian path, storm sewer, and storm water ponds.

The roadway work was planned and will be constructed in conjunction with the Elkhorn Area School District’s expansion to the high school and athletic fields. The new roadway is expected to provide for better connectivity between Elkhorn Area High School and Middle School, and provide for safer drop-off/pick-up operations.

Rams Contracting, LTD. was awarded the construction.  They are from Lannon, WI. Construction is planned to start late fall of 2017, with a delay in construction over the winter, and construction resuming in the spring of 2018. Construction is planned to be completed by June 29, 2018.

Costs associated with this project are being paid for by both the City of Elkhorn and Elkhorn Area School District.
