Direct Sellers & Selling in the Parks Permits
It shall be unlawful for any direct seller to engage in sales within the City of Elkhorn without obtaining a Direct Sellers Permit. Liability and/or Automobile Insurance is required, listing the City as additional insured. Read the City of Elkhorn ordinance below for complete requirements and exclusions. The non-refundable fee for a Direct Sellers Permit is $50 and is due at the time of application. A Direct Sellers Permit is valid for 120 days from the date of issuance. For companies, a separate application and fee are due for each individual.
No selling, trading, or giveaways of any products may take place in or within 200' of any City public park, including adjacent or adjoining streets within the City. Sales or giveaways in City parks shall be allowed only with a permit and only at an event authorized by the City of Elkhorn. For such sales, a Selling in the Parks Permit for the organization/individual is required (fee varies, see application) in addition to the Direct Seller's Permit(s).
