WCEDA Mission Statement Walworth County Economic Development Alliance is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Walworth County residents by working with public and private sector partners to advance efforts that create jobs and build private sector investment in our communities. Development Focus 80-90% of our development efforts focus on working with local businesses to foster growth and expansion through connecting them with useful resources. The other 10-20% is spent working with businesses that are considering the area. According to our organizational plan, the business profile that we target for attraction is a company with 50-100 employees. Within our local development efforts, we have two subsidiary groups to help with community development, Elkhorn Economic Development Alliance (EEDA), and East Troy Community Development Alliance (ETCDA). Agency Partners Our key partners are Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), Milwaukee 7 (M7), Wisconsin Job Center, Southeast Workforce Development Board, Gateway Technical College, University of Wisconsin Whitewater, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC). We also work with member municipalities to provide incentives for business investment (Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, East Troy, Delavan, and Whitewater)
