Highway 67 Construction Project

NOTE:  The DOT has completed their reconstruction, however, the City is working on O'Connor Drive and the extension of Commerce Court.

The majority of the Highway 67 construction project will be done by the WI DOT, however the DOT will partner with the City of Elkhorn on the section of the project from O’Connor to Commerce. The City will be doing additional work in the I-43 interchange and on Commerce, O’Connor and Tasch Drives.  See below map.

State Hwy 67 is through Mid October 2018 for road work. This road is closed to all through traffic, however access is allowed to and from all homes and businesses on the roadway. The State of Wisconsin has set the detour for this roadway as follows: For Hwy 67 North bound the detour is State Hwy 50 to Interstate 43. For Hwy 67 South bound the detour is Interstate 43 to State Hwy 50 (Please see the attached map).

Please note that the road is closed at all intersections, which means even if you are traveling to or from an address on the roadway that you should still take the most direct route to your destination. Due to safety of the workers as well as the homeowners and business owner’s on the roadway the local police departments will be patrolling this area and enforcing this closure. If you are traveling on the roadway you may be stopped to ensure there is a legitimate reason for you to be on the roadway. Please choose an alternative route or the most direct route if traveling to an address in the closed area until this road is reopened. Drive safely.
